Tsukiko often keeps her hands busy during downtime and discussion by sketching in her journal. Pleasantly surprised and inspired by the appearance of Doji Oruku-san, she makes sure to carefully tear out the page and give this spring themed piece to him before they leave for their next destination. When Tsukiko begins teaching Magda how to read, she makes a quick sketch of her student and writes out a classic poem with which to practice.

She writes an additional letter, brief with a request and instructions, and slips it with a package of papers, tucked in an elaborate set of garments.

As soon as the news reached her, Tsukiko began writing letters to “catch up” with her contacts- friends, family, allies- to assess the state of Rokugan from as many points as she could, figure out how tenuous their own political situation would be once they returned, and get a feel for how the populace felt about this... abrupt power shift. She was far more angry and agitated than she would have perhaps expected regarding the situation, and found she could not stop writing, and so over the coming days she schooled her expression into blithe serenity and channeled her agitation into what she knew best.
